Celebrate Women’s Employment Network at Trio
Title: Celebrate WEN at Trio
Link out: Click here
Description: All month long we celebrate & support the Women’s Employment Network [WEN], whose mission is “helping women raise their self-esteem & achieve economic independence through sustained employment.”

WEN was founded in 1986 by legendary Kansas City leaders Beth K. Smith and the late Marjorie Powell Allen. They were inspired by a successful women-focused employment program in San Antonio that emphasized self-esteem. Realizing the need for this vital service in our city, they created WEN, the only organization of its kind in the area.
More than 5,400 women have graduated from WEN’s programs. Thousands more have benefited from WEN’s support services, community referrals and other training. And countless children and family members beyond have better lives today, thanks to this remarkable organization.
Learn more about their services at www.kcwen.org.
Ask for a “WEN-tini” anytime this month & $5 will be donated to support WEN. It’s a delicious orange martini sure to turn your thoughts to Spring!

What a cool event! I’m sorry that I missed it for sure. I work with Habitat for Humanity Kansas City and was just wondering - how does a charity go about setting something like this up with you?
