Thank you on behalf of my husband and the many other veterans in the metro area.  I appreciate local restaurants and services that look after the “hometown” people.  Your organization has an admirable record.

One of the best meals we’ve enjoyed in a long time!!  Brussell Sprouts & Mussels were exceptional… the Mac & Cheese is a classic. We highly recommend Cafe Trio to others! – Recruiter on 5/3/14

The service is always top notch and if you like an outdoor venue, their deck will not disappoint!! The view of the Plaza is spectacular and the service on the deck is just as attentive as it is inside. Always a favorite restaurant!! – on 5/3/14

Keep doing what you are doing. Crab cakes were wonderful. – Julie H. on 5/7/14

Biography from Diane Lawrence:

My Focus is color

My focus in my journey as an artist, no matter the media, has always been color. Trying to achieve colors so intense that the viewer’s eye is drawn to the art work, like a moth to a flame. Nature inspires me with many surprises in color and pattern. Whether it is a flower, fish or sky my message has been that we should all be aware of our surroundings and their beauty. The challenge of depicting these marvels continues to keep me looking forward to each painting.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Diane graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute and taught in the public school system of Independence, Missouri before moving to Kansas in 1975 to devote herself to her art full-time. Since then, her work has been selected for many important exhibitions and collections. Her work has also been published by Leanin’ Tree, Inc., and is featured prominently in many corporate and private collections in Kansas City including those of Sprint, Lockton Insurance Company and First Charter Bank, the Anderson Accounting and First National Bank in Chicago and the Hays Medical Center of Hays, Kansas. The recipient of many awards and much public attention, she was interviewed on “Kansas Arts Today”, for television station KTWU in Topeka.  She is also a member of the Watercolor U.S.A. Honor Society and has been an instructor at the International Silk Painters conference in Santa Fe 2014, 2012 and 2010.
