“Movie & Martini Madness – a Benefit for AIDSWALK KC – April 14th

On Sunday, APRIL 14th, Trio will be hosting a showing of the classic “Wizard of OZ” movie as a fund raiser for AIDSWALK KC.  A $20 advance admission  donation fee [$30 at the door] gets you a complimentary “Red Ribbon” Martini or glass of REDS wine + a door prize/raffle ticket & FREE movie snacks.  The evening also features “Daisy Bucket” & “Dirty Dorothy” as our co-hosts,  a raffle, silent auction, and a costume contest, & much, much more. [See below]
SO, Plan to Join US – RIGHT NOW – Seating is limited.
Advance ticketing will begin at 10 PM on March 14th. Scroll down for the link. We can only accommodate 60 guests in the Main Street Event space for “Movie & Martini Madness” so plan ahead to participate.

Need more details to decide? Then read on. We anticipate a full house when we pull out all the stops for a jam-packed gala evening that features:

  • guest emcees & entertainers “Daisy Bucket” & “Dirty Dorothy” & other surprise guests
  • complimentary movie snacks [popcorn, pretzels, chips, dips & some heavier fare] – order Trio appetizers from the menu until 8:00 PM @ regular price.
  • Jello Shots [yellow brick road, emerald city, & ruby slipper] – $2 ea for AIDSWALK
  • “Red Ribbon” Martinis [$8] & REDS wine by the glass [$8]/ bottle [$30] – more than 50% goes to AIDSWALK. Cash bar also available.
  • an “Oz”-themed costume contest with prizes for “Best Witch” [good, bad or indifferent], “Best Group”  [3 or more persons in costumed collection], and “Most Elaborate/Creative/Flamboyant]
  • door prizes & raffle prizes [Raffle tickets are $2 ea/ 3 for $5] – all proceeds to AIDSWALK – we’ll be adding the prize list soon
  • Silent Auction [bidding closes at 7:30 PM] – check back for a list of items to bid on
  • a Papparazzi Corner for keepsake photos of the night by KC fashion photographer to the stars [as well as witches, wizards, flying monkeys, munchkins, etc] Derrick Yule. [$5 for 3 poses]

  • 5:30 PM – Early Seating & Silent Auction Shopping, “Papparazzi Corner”
  • 6:15 PM – Welcome from Hosts & 1st Door Prize Awarded
  • 6:30 PM – “The Wizard of Oz”
  • 7:20 PM – Intermission, 2nd Door Prize, Raffle Prizes, Silent Auction Final Bids, Costume Prizes
  • 7:40 PM – “The Wizard of Oz”
  • 8:30 PM – That’s a Wrap – Pick Up& Pay for Auction Items, Food & Bar Tabs, Etc.

Advance Ticket Sales are Now CLOSED – Tickets are available at the door for $30.    They receive the same benefits as advance purchase.  You can purchase tickets on line online only through PayPal [it’s totally safe & secure] using a PayPal account or with any major credit card. For credit purchases use link marked: “Don’t have a PayPal account?” under the PayPal log in.  Order up to four tickets at a time.  Additional tickets can be purchased in a second transaction. No paper tickets will be issued – provide a list of guests and names will be placed on the door list as received.  Your $20 ticket includes 1 complimentary cocktail & 1 door prize/raffle ticket + complimentary movie snack as described above per guest.

    The buy tickets link for the Wizzard od Oz is not working. Is there another way to purchase a ticket?

      If you can tell us what problem you are having in more detail, perhaps we can help you navigate through it. We clearly want it to be working as it is supposed to but without added details I cannot get it fixed. I have tested the link and it is working fine so far as I can tell and does each step as outlined.

      From previous experience we have found this the most secure, quick convenient way for folks to purchase from us. If you don’t want to bother with this, then go ahead and send us a check made out to AIDSWALK KC for the total amount of tickets you are ordering at $20 each and when we have received your check, we can add your name & guest names [if any] to our list. for the event.
